Our Story
A decade of showing up for each other.
2014
Founded in May by Tara Maxson, LVT, CVPM, with a simple idea: get Austin's veterinary managers around the same table, quarterly, to talk about “Real Practice Stuff.”
2019
Tara passed the torch to a volunteer leadership board, and the group kept growing — through lunch meetings, holiday fundraisers, and a few hard seasons this profession weathered together.
2026
AVPMG relaunched at its new home, avpmg.com — same group, same mission, fresh start for the mailing list.
